About Brandon
Brandon Z. Smith is an eclectic songwriter with a tenor voice Time To Indie describes as "sensual and charming". Equal parts twangy and soulful, Smith draws influence from Harry Nilsson, Velvet Underground, Otis Redding, and the Muppets.
Smith's music gained recognition in the 2019 documentary "Life In Flint," showcasing the city's vibrant artistic and community revival. He has appeared as a guest on The Tom Sumner Program and was featured on Hot Wax Radio's best of 2021. Smith has captivated (and sometimes confounded) audiences all over the Midwest with notable performances at the Old Miami, Blind Pig, and the Corktown Music Festival.
